SUMMARY: The Oklahoma commit had a field day for the Mavericks against the Panthers in the Class 5A Division 2 regional final. Hawkins only threw four incomplete passes and was an efficient 21 of 25 for 316 yards and three touchdowns. He also led the team with 15 carries and 128 yards while averaging 8.5 yards per attempt. Emerson won 59-48 to advance to the state semifinals.
