Byron Nelson tight end Parker Almanza announced his commitment to Baylor. Almanza is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports and stands 6-3, 225.
The 2026 tight end is ranked #58 in the country and #167 overall player in the state per 247Sports. He owned 12 offers and choose Baylor over Texas State and Colorado State.
His brother, Leo, is a cornerback at Baylor.
Almanza finished the 2024 season with 58 catches, 770 yards yards and 9 touchdowns He was voted 4-6A First Team All-District. As a sophomore, he caught 15 passes for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Byron Nelson went 9-2 overall and 7-1 in district in 2024. The Bobcats made history in 2023 with a 13-1 record, a 7-0 undefeated district championship and trip to the regional final.
