The Mustangs (18-5-6) will play in the 5A D2 title game next Friday April 10 at 4 pm from Birkelbach Field in Georgetown.

Wakeland also came into the game with a 138-11 goal differential with 20 goals for and 3 goals allowed in 4 playoff matches. The Wolverines last suffered a shutout loss March 10, 2023 vs The Colony. It’s the first time Wakeland were shut out in a postseason game since April 7, 2015 vs Frisco (3-0).

Granados punched in the game-winning goal in the 56th minute with the assist from Tatum Harig, following a Wakeland turnover.
