Support Lipan softball player and her road to recovery

The Lipan community is asking for your support for one of their softball players Dawson Oliver, who is recovering from a stroke on Sunday. Oliver is a junior for the Lady Indians.

Oliver is being sedated in ICU at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth.

Lipan is in Hood County and 30 minutes southwest of Weatherford.

Friends and family are asking for donations. A Go Fund Me link was created and already over $6,600 has been raised. Other donations can also be made at local banks – found in the link. >>>> https://www.gofundme.com/f/supporting-dawson-on-her-road-to-recovery?utm_campaign=p_cp+fundraiser-sidebar&utm_content=fbxp5&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook

The family is also asking surrounding communities to show support by wearing red ribbons during softball games tonight for Oliver, who is also a 3.9 GPA student. The Lady Indians reached the second round of the playoffs last season. After beating Hamilton 22-0 and 12-0, Lipan fell short against Collinsville in one game 4-3.

Earlier this season, Lipan won the Jacksboro tournament and went 5-0.
