Colleyville Heritage’s dynamic volleyball star Suli Davis commits to BYU

Just days after Plano Prestonwood’s Macaria Spears, the No. 1 player in the nation among the Class of 2025, another top junior player in America is off the board on Monday.

Colleyville Heritage’s Suli Davis announced her commitment to BYU.

Her brother Saimone is currently on a football scholarship with BYU.

Davis is ranked as the second best player in Texas among the Class of 2025 and sixth overall in the country. She’s in her second year with Heritage after a successful freshman season at Nolan Catholic.

During her first year with Heritage last season, Davis posted over 500 kills and helped the Panthers to the Class 5A state championship, the first title in program history. Davis was awarded with District 7-5A MVP honors, all-state honors and UIL 5A state all-tournament teams honors after registering 21 kills and 18 digs in the title match against Frisco Reedy.

After over 1,000 kills in her first two seasons in high school primarily in the outside hitter position – she had 510 in her lone season at Nolan – Davis was moved to a setter in a 6-2 offense.

The Panthers are 7-2 in District 7-5A and 30-10 overall.

They won a program record tying 43 matches last season.

Davis ranks #4 in DFW with 583 kills this fall and #1 with a 0.456 hitting percentage. She is second on the team with 40 aces, second with 63 blocks, second with 352 digs and second with 352 assists.
