LSU lands commitment from top-ranked Texan Dakorien Moore from Duncanville

Just two days after Duncanville running back Caden Durham announced his commitment to LSU, Panthers’ starting wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced his commitment with the Tigers.

Moore (5-11, 175) is a 5-star recruit and the top-ranked player in Texas among the 2025 class.

Overall according to 247Sports, Moore is the second best wide receiver in the country and the fifth best player in the nation.

Moore holds 34 offers, which also included Oregon, Alabama, Texas, national semifinalists Michigan and Ohio State, national runner up TCU and national champ Georgia.

According to 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks, Moore is a “Big-play receiver who provides return game weapon for perennial Texas 6A powerhouse. Pedestrian height but good length with some frame space.”

Moore has been a key piece on the outside for the Panthers during her first two seasons. During his freshman year in 2021, he had 15 catches for 366 yards and five touchdowns as Duncanville reached the state title game.

Last year, he had 44 catches for 764 yards (17.4 per catch) and six touchdowns to help the Panthers win the Class 6A D1 state championship.
