Things got a little more interesting in District 3-6A girls basketball.
With one game left, there still could be a 3-way tie for the district championship after Boswell beat LD Bell on Friday night.
Junior point guard Camille Williams dropped 15 of her game-high 25 points in the first half as the Pioneers knocked off the Blue Raiders 56-47. Salena Carrasco hit five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points.
Williams entered the night needing 18 points for 2,000 points in her career. She now sits at 2,007 with at least two games to go this season and another year next season.
Boswell moves to 10-3 in district while Bell drops to 11-2.
The season series is tied. Bell won the first meeting 57-52 on Jan. 9. Also on Friday night, Crowley beat Paschal and North Crowley beat Weatherford.
That brings the standings to:
Bell 11-2
Crowley 11-2
Boswell 10-3
NC 9-4
***All four teams have clinched a playoff berth, but seeding is still TBD.
On Tuesday:
Bell at NC
Weatherford at Boswell
Crowley at Euless Trinity
