Former DFW softball star is headed to Central Arkansas

Emma Robertson, who starred at Boswell High School, announced her transfer to the University of Central Arkansas. She spent the past two seasons with the University of Houston.

After limited action in 2022 as a freshman with UH, Robertson played 39 games and started 27 games in the spring for the Cougars. She batted 0.230 with 17 hits, 7 home runs, 3 doubles, 11 runs scored and 14 runs batted in.

Robertson slugged 0.554 with 10 walks and posted a 0.955 field percentage.

Houston went 27-27-1 and 8-9-1 in conference during the 2022 season. The Cougars finished 20-30 overall and 7-10 in conference this spring.

Robertson’s seven home runs this season was third most on the team.

UCA was one of the best teams this season, posting a 45-12 overall record and 22-2 conference record. UCA won the ASUN tournament championship and made it to the NCAA tournament where it won a game 15-0 against Long Island, but was knocked out 3-0 to Middle Tennessee.

As a senior in 2021 with Boswell, Robertson was named Fort Worth Star Telegram player of the year after hitting 0.667 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI. She was a three time first team all district selection and district newcomer of the year as a freshman in 2018.

Boswell reached the regional semifinals in 2021.

Robertson was a career 0.500 hitter in high school with 170 hits, 26 home runs, 48 doubles, 141 runs scored and had a school record 160 runs batted in.
