BOYS

FW Wyatt 7, Mansfield Summit 3 OT

The Chaparrals scored four goals after regulation to down the Jaguars in their Class 5A D2 bi-district game on Thursday at Newsom Stadium in Mansfield.

Wyatt (15-7-1), which finished in a tie for third place in District 7-5A, will play Grapevine or Brewer in the area round.

Desire Kyanga picked up the hat trick with three goals while Brayan Reyes chipped in two goals. Luis Mendoza and Hamid Amiri also scored. Six players had an assist with Venas Abubakari having two. 

Plano West 4, Denton Guyer 1

The Wolves scored four unanswered goals to beat the Wildcats in their Class 6A D2 bi-district game on Thursday night in Prosper. 

West played in the state semifinals last season, losing to Klein Cain in a shootout. 

Improving to 15-5-1 overall, Plano West faces Grand Prairie in the area round. GP beat JJ Pearce 4-3 on Thursday. 

Orlando Simancas scored twice for the Wolves with one apiece by Matt Kent and Peyton Perez. 

Gainesville 3, Kemp 0

Izaiah Cervantez picked up the brace with two goals to lead the Leopards past Kemp in their Class 4A D2 bi-district game on Thursday night. 

Erick Ramirez scored one goal for Gainesville (17-2-3), which will play Dallas Pinkston (14-3-5) in the area round. Pinkston blanked Dallas Life Oak Cliff 5-0 on Thursday. 

Gainesville is looking to get back to Georgetown where the Leopards made history last season with their first appearance in the title game – losing to Austin Achieve 1-0. 

Dallas Pinkston 5, Dallas Life Oak Cliff 0

Jose Joel Rangel got the hat trick with three goals as the Vikings beat the Lions in their Class 4A D2 bi-district game on Thursday. 

Angel Calix and Juan Mendoza scored one goal each for Pinkston while Daniel Romero had two assists. 

Frisco Panther Creek 9, Mabank 1

The Panthers dominated from start to finish – knocking off Mabank in their Class 4A D1 bi-district game on Thursday. 

Panther Creek (15-2-4), #1 in our 4A rankings, will play Dallas Conrad in the area round. Conrad shut out Carrollton Ranchview 2-0 on Thursday. 

Fabian Davalos led the way with two goals and four assists while Ethan Osinowo added two goals and one assist. Harun Rachidi, Inaki Harfush, Nael Samuel and Oreoluwa Olowu also scored for the Panthers. 

GIRLS

Argyle 4, Azle 0

The Eagles shut out the Hornets during their Class 5A D2 bi-district game on Thursday night in Argyle. 

Argyle (16-3-3) will host Burleson (16-8) in the area round at 6 pm on Tuesday. Burleson beat FW South Hills 5-0 on Thursday. 

Hannah Lee scored two goals while Sara Begaj and Ava Atkins added one. 

Wylie East 2, Longview 0

Sophie Preston and Nikki Coleman scored and the Raiders beat the Lobos in their Class 6A D2 bi-district game on Thursday night. 

East wins its 20th game of the season and will play Mesquite Horn (17-4-3) in the area round. Horn beat Harker Heights 6-0. 

The Raiders, who reached the regional final last season, got an assist by Kendall Weston and Hailey Fincher and Addy Lomax chipped in for the shutout. 

Forney 8, Rowlett 0

Kalani Brundage found Addison Staats for an easy opening goal and the Jackrabbits rolled to victory over Rowlett in their Class 6A D2 bi-district game on Thursday. 

Forney, #2 in our final Class 6A rankings, will play Mesquite or Temple in the area round. The Jackrabbits are 24-1 and have won 16 in a row. They scored four goals in each half on Thursday. 

Ava Young and Staats scored the first two goals in the second half.
