During the 2025 track and field season, the Lancaster girls broke DeSoto’s national record by running a 43.84 in the 4×100 relay last March.
Did anyone think they could beat that?
Not only did they break they’re own national record – they shattered it, on Thursday, after running an incredible 43.77.
DeSoto’s old record came in 2019.
According to NBC’s Travis Miller, Lancaster now owns the top three times in the national high school 4×100 record book along with four of the five fastest marks all time.
The Tigers won the 6A title in the 4×100 with a time of 43.91 – third fastest and 0.33 faster than DeSoto in 2019. They also ran a 44.28 this season.
Lancaster’s 4×100 last season at state featured runners Datavia Hunter, Taylor-Marie Wilson, Lily Pierrot and Saniyah Miller.
