For the second straight game, Fort Worth Christian had to come from behind to pick up a win – oddly enough both by the exact same score of 9-8.
On Thursday, Grace Johnson hit a two-run home run to walk it off in the bottom of the eight inning over Dallas Urusline. FWC lost a 3-0 lead and trailed 7-6 entering the bottom of the seventh with its last chance at the plate.
Freshman Gabby Bright sent the game into extras with a solo home run to center. The Cardinals got out to a 3-0 lead in the second highlighted by an RBI triple from Ava Chopra.
Elle Andujar and Leyton Lehner also drove in runs for the Cards.
Johnson is headed to Oklahoma Baptist.
FWC also beat Dallas HSAA 9-8 on Monday with five runs in the final two innings including four in the seventh – getting a walk off single from Chopra.
