Less than a month after flipping his commitment from Tennessee to Ohio State, North Forney 4-star quarterback Legend Bey went back with the Volunteers during Wednesday’s early signing period.
According to multiple outlets, Ohio State OC and quarterbacks coach Brian Hartline agreed to be the next head coach at South Florida which became one reason for Bey’s change.
Bey flipped from Tennessee to Ohio State on Nov. 10 while continuing to lead North Forney this season. The Falcons wrapped up the fall on Nov. 21 following a 37-20 loss against Waxahachie.
North Forney ended the year with a 10-2 record.
According to MaxPreps, Bey rushed for a career high 30 touchdowns and had career highs with 1,608 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. Overall he accounted for over 3,330 yards offense and 46 scores.
In the past two years, Bey had rushed for 3,600+ yards and 48 TDs for the Falcons. He was recently voted District 10-6A MVP.
Bey is ranked as high as the 7th best 2026 ATHLETE by 247Sports, 21st best player in Texas and in the Top 50 nationally for the 2026 class.
Ohio State is the #1 ranked college football team.
However, the Vols have the 5th best 2026 commitment/signing class that features three 5-stars and 10 4-star players.
