Carroll (13-0) is the top-ranked Class 6A team in the state by Dave Campbell’s Football. The Dragons are also in the Top 10 nationally by MaxPreps.
The Dragons are coming off a 49-31 win over Prosper in the regional semifinals on Friday Nov. 28, a game that kicked off at 11:17 pm after a four-hour lightning delay. The game finished at 1:42 am Saturday morning.
Renda went 13 of 15 for 235 yards and three touchdowns. He added 12 carries for 72 yards. Boyd made five catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
Renda is a 3-star QB and ranks in the Top 100 among all quarterbacks in the country for the 2026 class. Boyd is also a 3-star prospect and had been committed to TCU before flipping to Ohio State in April.
Ohio State is the #1 ranked teams in college football.
Hays and Strange are both 6-star special team specialists and among the best in the nation. In the past two seasons, including this year, Strange is 167 of 169 on extra points and has hit 11 field goals while still contributing in the secondary.
Hays is averaging over 40 yards per punt for the Dragons this season. Chen is an all-district defender with over 145 tackles the past three years.
Carroll is in the regional final for the ninth straight season – eight under coach Riley Dodge. The Dragons lost in the state championship game last season and are looking for their first title since 2011.
