Celina 2026 quarterback Bowe Bentley announced his commitment to Oklahoma. Bentley and the Bobcats won the Class 4A D1 state championship 55-21 over Kilgore in December. Bentley was voted state champ offensive MVP with 9 of 14 passing for 265 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The 6-2 gunslinger is a 4-star prospect by 247Sports.
Bentley is ranked the 7th QB in the country for the 2026 class and 12th ranked player in Texas and 78th ranked player in the country. He chose OU over 29 other offers, which included LSU, Colorado, Florida State, UGA, Indiana, UNT, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Wisconsin.
The Bobcats won their 9th state championship in program history and first since 2007. They are tied with Katy and Richland Springs for third most titles in UIL history. Bentley was first-team all-area QB for GM Sports Media and finished the season with 171 of 245 passing for 3,211 yards and 47 touchdowns – adding 923 yards rushing and 16 scores. He played in the All-American Bowl in January.
Bentley became the 10th commit in the ’26 class for the Sooners – joining Midlothian’s Noah Best and Frisco Lone Star’s Ryder Mix, who both also committed in June.
