Joshua dominated Arlington Seguin in a District 8-5A match on Friday night. Senior outside hitter/middle blocker Morgan Collier (Weatherford College) finished with 17 kills, a 0.727 hitting percentage, seven digs, one ace and one solo block.
Collier celebrated senior night and hitting 1,000 career kills. She has 1,002 kills with three games left in the regular season. The Owls are playoff bound at 26-13 overall and 10-1 in District 8-5A. They play Burleson Centennial (11-0) on Tuesday night.
The 17 kills are Collier’s fourth most this season while her 0.727 clip is her third highest of her career with at least 15 kills.
Collier is having a career year with 363 kills, 0.388 hitting and 116 total blocks.
She was 8-5A Offensive MVP last season as well as Offensive MVP in Johnson County.
