Junior libero/defensive specialist Ava Dyer was sidelined with a finger injury during the opening weekend of the season in August. She made her return on Friday night during a three-game sweep against Fort Worth Wyatt.

Dyer, who was among the leaders in digs around DFW last season, finished with six digs vs the Chaparrals – also setting the program record in aces.

She finished with 11 aces – breaking the previous record set by Emory Hinckley (8) from the 2022 season. Teammate Hayden Newquist finished with eight aces herself, which is now tied for second most. Paschal totaled 26 aces as a team.

Stella West led the team with nine kills.

On Tuesday night, the Panthers won the rematch over Fort Worth Arlington Heights 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-13 at Wilkerson-Greines Center. The two teams are tied in 6-5A with the season series split. Head coach Tim Reimann won his 200th career match.

Georgia Ostransky had a game-high 17 kills and hit 0.325.

She added one ace and 17 digs. Delaney Chase had 21 digs while Newquist gave the Panthers 22 assists. Ellie Raymond chipped in 11 assists.

Paschal is playoff bound with three games left in the regular season.

Dyer had 642 digs in 112 sets last season and was voted first-team all-district.
