As a freshman in 2024, Hamilton helped the Lions to the TAPPS D2 state tournament at UT-Arlington. Her father, former MLB player Josh Hamilton was in attendance watching the team reach the championship game.
Faith went 17-4 and beat Frisco Legacy Christian 15-13 in the semifinal round before losing in the title game 12-2 against Victoria St. Joseph.
The Lions are 12-3-1 this season.
According to the team’s MaxPreps account, Hamilton is hitting a team-high 0.541, also leading the team with 20 hits, three triples, 19 runs scored and seven stolen bases.
Her father, Josh Hamilton, played for three teams during his Major League career – most notably with the Texas Rangers from 2008 to 2012 and again in 2015. Hamilton was a 5-time All-Star and AL MVP in 2010.
Hamilton is a part of the Rangers Hall Of Fame after leading Texas to the World Series in back-to-back seasons in 2010 and 2011.
He was the first overall pick by Tampa Bay in 1999.
