Dallas Lincoln overwhelms Fredericksburg for 5th state title

Dallas Lincoln capped off a dominant playoff run with a 77-49 victory over Fredericksburg in the Class 4A D2 state championship on Friday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The Tigers (29-8) go back-to-back as champs and secured the program’s fifth title overall (1999, 2004, 2008, 2025, 2026). They beat Cuero 60-32 in last year’s 4A D2 final.

In six playoff games this season, Lincoln’s defense allowed a stellar 32.5 points per contest while the team was winning by an average margin of 31 points.

Lincoln beat Brock 46-26 in Tuesday night’s state semis.

Lanae Dallas was voted state champ MVP in San Antonio with 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting, five rebounds, one assist, one block and NINE steals.

Her nine steals are third most in 4A UIL state championship history. Lincoln finished with 19 as a team, tied for third with three other schools.

AJ Elder added 18 points with 7 of 10 at the line, 12 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals.

The Tigers forced 21 turnovers on Fredericksburg. They owned the boards, going 51-24 total and 24-5 offensively. Lincoln led 22-12 after the first quarter and 42-20 at the intermission.
