WATCH: SMU Men’s Basketball wins with half court buzzer beater

Boopie Miller comes to the rescue again after draining the buzzer beating 3-point shot at half court as SMU beat Virginia Tech 77-76 on Wednesday at Moody Coliseum in Dallas.

The senior guard from Chicago finished with a game high 24 points on 6 of 15 shooting and 11 of 16 from the free throw line. He finished with four rebounds and six assists.

The game winner from half court was Miller’s only made 3-pointer.

Miller spent time at Wake Forest and Central Michigan before coming to SMU. In his first season last year, Miller averaged 13.2 points in 28 games. Coming into Wednesday’s game, he sat at 20.6 points per game.

Earlier this month on Jan. 3, SMU upset nationally ranked North Carolina. Miller had 27 points on 10 of 13 from the field.

Next up for the Mustangs: Virginia (1/17) and Wake Forest (1/20).
