Welcome to the Texas High School volleyball ‘Rudolph Song’

BY CHUCK LICATA, GMSPORTSMEDIA VOLLEYBALL INSIDER/CEO, BIG DADDY MEDIA

Hopefully, most of you remember the old “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” song.

To give you an idea (lyrics in the greatest song version by Gene Autry):

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.
But do you recall,
The most famous reindeer of all?

Etc, etc.

Now, here’s my version – but first, a brief explanation.

Just as the song starts, with the 2025 Texas high school volleyball version of the most popular/accomplished players:

You know Sophee and Kleckner and Kinsley and Seay,

Ogbogu and Crutcher and Whitmire and Whann

But let me help you recall,

The OTHER really great players of all (of 2025)

Here they are, in alphabetical order. I noted any Specialty Awards these players may have won this year.

These are my personal picks for players who should not be overlooked when the Texas high school volleyball season is remembered. Congratulations to all these players!
