4-star Celina QB Bowe Bentley, who won state title in 2024, signs with Oklahoma

One year ago this month, Celina completed an undefeated season in winning the Class 4A D1 state championship. On Wednesday, state winning QB – 4-star Bowe Bentley signed with the Oklahoma Sooners during the early signing period.

Per 247Sports, Bentley is as high as the 6th best QB in the 2026 class and 9th best player in Texas. Bentley committed to OU in June.

Last season, the Bobcats went 16-0.

Bentley accounted for over 4,000 yards offense and 63 touchdowns. During their 55-21 win over Kilgore in Arlington, Bentley threw for 265 yards on 9 of 14 passing with five touchdowns – adding 68 yards rushing on 12 attempts.

Celina is 13-0 this season and the #1 team in the 4A D1 state rankings by Dave Campbell’s Football. The Bobcats defeated Decatur in the regional semifinals and are set for a rematch against Alvarado in the Region 2 Championship. The game is scheduled for Friday night at Mansfield’s Newsom Stadium.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Bentley left the game vs Decatur with an injury but is expected to play Friday vs Alvarado.
