TCU hit the record books during its NCAA first round game on Friday – defeating Grambling State 7-0.
The Horned Frogs scored their second most goals in a NCAA tournament game. They scored eight goals vs Prairie View A&M in the first round back in 2021.
TCU, which is ranked #2 in the country, is 16-2-2 and will host the second round against undefeated #7 Memphis at 7 pm on Thursday.
Southlake Carroll’s Olivia Geller played 61 minutes in goal to help with the shutout. Seven Castain scored the hat trick with three goals while Prosper’s Emma Yolinsky netted two goals.
Castain and Yolinsky found the back of the net in the 11th and 22nd minutes as TCU took a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
The Frogs tacked on five goals in the second half.
Memphis is 17-0-3.
