S&S senior Hayden “Bam” Mowrey flipped her commitment from the University of North Texas and officially signed her letter of intent with Wichita State.
In three seasons with the Rams, Mowrey has a 61-13 pitching record, coming up on 700 strikeouts while batting 0.494 with 30 home runs.
The Rams are coming off a historic 2025 season – which includes a 27-3 record and their first trip to the UIL state semifinals since 2008. There, they nearly upset defending champion Coahoma, falling in three games. S&S did snap Coahoma’s 91-game winning streak.
Mowrey was voted District MVP and TGCA all-state.
She posted a 25-3 record, 278 strikeouts and a 1.08 ERA in 175+ innings last season while batting 0.533 with 12 home runs, nine doubles, three triples and 53 runs batted in at the plate.
