Rockwall-Heath led 24-10 at the intermission against Wylie East on Friday and then went on to finish the route 52-10 against the undefeated Raiders to advance to the 6A D1 area round vs Duncanville next week.
The Hawks outscored the Raiders 28-0 in the second half.
The game was in Wylie.
Wylie East went undefeated in the regular season for the first time in program history (10-1). The Hawks’ win improved their record to 8-3.
Heath out gained Wylie East by more than 300 yards.
QB Prosper Neal threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns while Carter Zahm led the ground game with 157 yards and four scores. Shawn Gary led Heath receivers with both touchdown catches and 153 yards on five catches.
