Daquwan Dunn threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Berkner Rams in an upset win over 8-6A champ Arlington Bowie 30-28 on Friday at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington.

It’s the Rams’ first playoff win since 2006.

Berkner will face Prosper in the 6A D2 area round next week.

Chance Brown rushed for one score and Ty Crethers caught both TD passes from Dunn.

Jayden Bibbs led Bowie with 187 yards passing, 2 TDs and 53 yards rushing, 2 TDs. The Volunteers end at 8-3. They defeated SGP 24-21 last week to close out the regular season as undefeated district champs. It was the first time winning district in back-to-back years in program history.

Berkner made the playoffs in Week 11 after beating JJ Pearce for the final spot in 7-6A.

The Rams led 20-7 at halftime and survived a 21-point fourth quarter by the Vols. After Bowie scored to pull within 20-14, Nicko Campbell returned the ensuing kickoff for a Berkner TD.
