Prosper QB throws for 8 touchdowns in playoff opener

Prosper senior quarterback Braeden Imhoff threw for nearly 500 yards and eight touchdowns during the Eagles’ 66-39 win over Hebron on Thursday.

Prosper (10-1) will play Richardson Berkner in the 6A D2 area round next week.

After trailing 14-0 in the first quarter, the Eagles scored 42 unanswered points and led 42-17 at halftime. They added two touchdowns in the third quarter to go up 56-17 entering the fourth. Imhoff threw a 9-yard TD pass to Dallas Boozer and a 61-yarder to Lathon Latiolais in the period.

The Eagles gained 688 yards offense.

Boozer caught seven passes for 227 yards and four touchdowns. Elliott Brown chipped in 104 yards and three scores and Latiolais posted 115 yards on eight catches.

Hebron still put up big numbers in the loss.

Brady Brock threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns and David Price ran for two scores. Tyler Hoke led the Hawks’ receiving core with 192 yards on five catches and two touchdowns.
