Top Games UIL 5A/lower with playoff and district champ implications

Brewer (6-3, 4-3) vs Granbury: A win for Brewer will lock up its first playoff berth since 2021 – also the last time the Bears had a winning record. A loss vs Granbury AND loss from Birdville (4-3) against Denton Ryan will also clinch a playoff spot for Brewer. A loss and Birdville win will clinch the fourth seed in 3-5A D1 for the Hawks.

Saginaw (7-2, 6-1) vs Chisholm Trail (6-3, 5-2): Saginaw can clinch a district championship and the #1 seed in 4-5A D1 with a win plus a loss from Wyatt (6-1). If Wyatt and Saginaw are tied at the top, Wyatt is the #1 seed. If there is a three-way tie between Arlington Heights (6-1), Wyatt and Saginaw, Heights will be #1 and Saginaw will be #2. The loser of Saginaw and Chisholm will face Aledo in the bi-district round.

Frisco Lone Star (9-0, 7-0) vs Frisco Reedy (7-2, 6-1): There can be a three-way tie for first place in 5-5A D1 with Frisco Wakeland (7-1), which is done in the regular season. Lone Star clinches district and the #1 seed with a win. Wakeland can only get the #2 or #3 seed. Reedy clinches district and the #1 seed with a win by 11+ points.
