Lillie Gaudio, a 2027 infielder and catcher at Mansfield Legacy, announced her commitment to play at LSU on Sunday. Gaudio is coming off the greatest hitting performance in program history and one of the best in DFW.

The District 3-6A Offensive MVP broke several single season records for the Broncos including home runs (17), triples (9), runs batted in (64), hits (78) and batting average (0.690). She also tied the record with 58 runs scored.

She is also nearing the record for career home runs (33).

LSU won 42 games in the spring – its third straight with 40+ – The Tigers’ season came to an end in the regional round, falling to Southeastern Louisiana 8-7 on May 17.

In her first two years, Gaudio has quickly made her statement as being one of the top hitters in DFW and in the state. Last season as a sophomore, she had three multi-home run games and hit one home run in 15 games.

She helped the Broncos to a 28-8 overall record and 12-0 championship in District 3-6A. Legacy reached the regional semifinals, but fell short to Denton Guyer in one of the more closer playoff series of the year (0-1, 5-2, 5-6).

In eight playoff games, Gaudio finished with 14 hits. Gaudio had nine games with 3+ RBIs including a career-best seven runs batted in on 4 of 4 hitting against Van on Feb. 14.

As a freshman, Gaudio finished with a 0.495 average, 14 home runs, 47 hits, 11 doubles, 4 triples and 39 runs batted in. In two years, she has 31 stolen bases and a 0.964 fielding percentage.
