After a great freshman season at Texas Tech capped with a runner-up finish in the Women’s College World Series, former Burleson Centennial star Bailey Lindemuth announced her transfer to Georgia on Friday.

Lindemuth played and started in all 68 games this season – helping Tech to a 54-14 record.

The Red Raiders reached the WCWS for the first time in program history and reached the champ series. They came up short in three games against the Texas Longhorns.

Lindemuth was named to the All-Big 12 First Team and All-Big 12 Freshman Team at third base – hitting 0.305 overall with 50 hits, 5 home runs, 8 doubles, 32 runs batted in, 0.445 slugging and 29 runs scored.

She also made three appearances in the circle with a 2-1 record in 11 innings pitched and a 2.55 ERA.

While at Centennial, Lindemuth is regarded as the best player to play for the Spartans. She was a 3x District MVP and 1x Offensive MVP. Lindemuth holds career records in home runs, runs batted in and strikeouts, and had separate seasons of 66 RBI and 70+ RBI and one season with 19 home runs – Top 10 for most in DFW history.

UGA went 35-23 this season and made an appearance in the SEC Tournament.
