Blum 2026 volleyball star Kinsley McPherson, who helped lead the Bobcats to their first two state titles in 2022 and 2023, announced her commitment to Temple College on Monday.
“I am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Temple College. Thank you to my parents, friends, and teammates for their constant love and support. So excited to be a leopard for this next chapter,” she said on Twitter.
The Bobcats won their first title in 2022 with a three-game sweep over D’Hanis.
McPherson was voted state champ MVP as a freshman with 17 kills, 0.325 hitting and 6 digs. In the semis against Lamesa Klondike, she added 17 kills and 7 digs. Blum finished 33-13 that season.
Blum followed it in 2023 by repeating as Class 1A champ and a 40-7 record with wins over Neches and Harrold. In the championship game, McPherson posted 12 kills and 17 digs. In three years with Blum, the Bobcats have a 101-33 record.
McPherson had 482 kills, 35 aces and 380 digs as a junior.
McPherson had 434 kills, 82 aces and 424 digs as a sophomore.
