=================================
Tragedy hit during the Memorial Day weekend when Keller Timber Creek grad Ava Moore was killed during a hit and run by a jet ski at Grapevine Lake on Sunday.
According to reports, the suspect fled the scene but was in custody on Tuesday. NBC DFW said on Tuesday that Grapevine police and the Texas Game Wardens arrested Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez.
Following the incident, a photo of Gonzalez was posted and went viral on social media outlets in hopes of finding her. Gonzalez and one other person hit Moore on the lake while she was kayaking.
Moore played basketball and golf at Timber Creek High School, where she graduated in 2024. Moore was first-team all-district and academic all-district as a senior in 2024. The Falcons were 17-14.
Moore also golfed and was Texas Association of Golf Coaches Academic All-State Honorable Mention and Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State second-team.
Moore committed to the Air Force in the summer of 2023.
According to NBC DFW, Moore had just returned home from 10 months at the US Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs.
Moore played summer ball with Lady Drive Nation.
GM Sports sends our condolences and prayers to the Moore and Timber Creek families.

After a great conversation with @mcintyre_stacy I am honored to say that I have received an offer to attend the Air Force Academy Preparatory School and I have made the decision to commit. Thank you @CoachLowery4 and @ProSkillsGBB for giving me the chance to show what I can do. pic.twitter.com/9hLEuCxuGT
