The Indians wrapped up the regular season last week with a 21-19 win over Eaton.

Keller got 18 hits and scored 11 times in the third inning.

Kaiya Fabela, Sydona Meiser and Mackenna Jackson all homered – and all three players have set personal records this season for the Indians. Fabela (BYU signee) also doubled and went 3 for 5 while driving in six runs.

Jackson (Kansas commit) also doubled, went 4 for 6 with four RBIs while Meiser (Texas Tech commit) doubled twice, went 3 for 6 and also drove in six runners. Lauren Kavanaugh and Brooke Eggleton each drove in two and Madison Eads drove in one.

Keller starts a three-game series on Thursday at Boswell. First pitch is set for 6 pm. The Indians enter the 6A D2 postseason with a 21-6-1 overall record and 14-2 in District 4-6A – securing the program’s fourth consecutive district championship.

Keller has also won eight in a row.

On March 14, Fabela set the career home run record with her 29th dinger. Since then, she’s hit five more and extended her record to 34 long balls. She has eight homers on the season. Meiser hit her 11th home run this year against Eaton – a new single season program record. Jackson has set the single season record with 57 runs batted in.

Jackson’s 57 RBIs ranked 10th in the state according to MaxPreps and second among players in DFW – behind Mansfield Legacy’s Lillie Gaudio (59).
