BYRON NELSON 5, BELL 1
Arianna Morales went 4 for 4 with a two-run double in the top of the sixth inning and the Bobcats defeated the Blue Raiders on the road in their District 4-6A contest on Monday.
Byron Nelson pitcher Abbi Hicks came to the plate in the top of the fourth with two outs and the bases loaded before drawing an RBI walk after a 9-pitch at-bat against Bell’s Alexis Phillippe. Madi McBride opened the inning with lead off single while Kaylee Vien hit a single to right that put runners on the corners. Courtney Julian walked to loaded the bases.
Phillippe got a grounder to short to keep the Raiders within 1.
Morales hit a lead off double in the fifth and advanced to third on a single from Maya Pardue. Morales then came home following an RBI sac fly to left field from McBride.
Bell scored on a double steal in the bottom of the fifth inning to trim the margin to 2-1.
The Raiders got a double from Alina Vogt to put runners in scoring position with one out. Freshman Meredith Hambric came in to replace Hicks and ended the threat with back-to-back strikeouts.
Byron pulled away with three runs in the sixth.
Julian and Hicks led off with a pair of singles and both runners scored on Morales’ single down the right field line. Gabby Cuellar also scored in the inning to up the Bobcat lead to 5-1.
Hambric gave up two hits in the bottom of the sixth, but kept Bell off the board with a strikeout and fly out to Cuellar near first base. Vogt picked up a one-out single in the Bell seventh before Hambric closed out the game with a grounder to third and her fourth strikeout.
Hicks allowed four hits and struck out six batters in 4 1/3 innings pitched.

FLOWER MOUND 9, MARCUS 3
The Jaguars led 7-0 and went on to beat their crosstown rival Marauders in the Mound Showdown during their District 5-6A game on Tuesday night. Flower Mound pulled away with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
FM starting pitcher Bella Flores opened the game by retiring the order in the top of the first with two strikeouts and a grounder to second. Adi Bicknell (Ole Miss) helped out Flores with a one-out double to left field that gave the Jags a 1-0 lead.
The margin grew to 3-0 in the second on a sacrifice from Kono Gadt and Avery Brock scored on a Marcus error. Flower Mound loaded the bases with one out, but Marcus starter Chloe Poteete (Saint Francis) limited the damage with back-to-back outs.
Bicknell hit a hard grounder back to the circle and reached on an error with the bases loaded that drove in Ella Tighe to make it 4-0. One batter later and Flores helped open the flood gates with a three-run double to center.
Marcus got on the board in the fifth on a solo home run from Myleene Olguin.
Olivia Rains hit an RBI single for Flower Mound and Bicknell added an RBI triple to up the lead to 9-1.
Emily Souders and Brynnan Wilhite also homered for the Marauders.
Rains, Bicknell and Nahla Hurst all collected three hits for the Jags. Flores struck out 15 batters.

PANTHER CREEK 4, KRUM 2
Reagan Hill and Alyssa Malvaiz drove in runs during the top of the sixth inning to help the Panthers edge out the Bobcats in their District 10-4A showdown on Tuesday night. Krum entered last week #1 in the TGCA Class 4A rankings before dropping a close one, 2-0 at Aubrey.
The Bobcats came into this week #2 in the GM Sports DFW 4A poll with Panther Creek close behind.
Hill allowed six hits in a complete game effort while both runs were unearned. She also struck out seven batters while her counterpart, Krum’s Addison Martindale finished with three earned runs and 12 strikeouts.
Maddy Campbell started the game off with an infield single and reached second on a walk to Hill. Malvaiz followed with an RBI double to drive in Campell and give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Holly Ray added a sac and Hill scored from third to make it 2-0.
Krum scored in the third on a passed ball and Jazmine Jackson drove in Paige Bianchi (Weatherford College) with a sac fly to center that tied the game at 2-2. The Bobcats loaded the bases in the fourth with one out, but Hill managed to get a strikeout and fly out to end the threat.
Campbell, who went 3 for 4, hit a lead off triple in the sixth before Hill and Malvaiz went back-to-back for the go-ahead runs. Krum loaded the bases again in its portion of the sixth inning, but Hill closed its chance out with another strikeout. Hill gave up a lead off walk in the seventh before getting three consecutive outs to give Panther Creek the win.

COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE 3, RYAN 2
The Panthers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and got a walk-off RBI single from Kira Miller to complete the comeback against the Raiders in their District 6-5A contest on Monday night.
Tied at 1-1 after six innings, Ryan grabbed the lead in the top of the seventh with a one-out single to center from Kendall Whitehill. The Raiders got two runners on with one out, but Colleyville pitcher Sammie Pham got a pop fly in foul ground and her eighth strikeout to keep it at 2-1.
Rhyan Blake led off the bottom of the inning with a triple after taking a 1-1 pitch to center field. Pham followed with a double to left that drove in Blake and tied the game. Miller capped off the comeback one batter later – hitting an 0-2 pitch with Pham scoring the game-winning run.
Miller hit an RBI sac fly in the third.
Kamryn McClendon tied the game in the sixth with a RBI single.
Ryan pitcher Olivia Buettner (Baylor) also struck out eight batters.
