ADDIE PERRY HAS HAD THE CHANCE to watch her little sister Tempe play the sport they both love and now for the first and only time, they get to share it together on the same team.
Addie, who will continue her career at nearby North Texas, is a senior outfielder for the Bearcats. Tempe is an incoming freshman pitcher.
“It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come from all the training and workouts in our back yard,” said Addie, in her third season with Aledo. “To get to play my last season of high school softball alongside my sister is a full-circle moment. It may only be for one season, but I will forever cherish the memories we will make together. Last year, BEST YEAR!”
The older Perry has helped the Ladycats to the state tournament last season.
They finished 35-4 with their second straight 12-0 undefeated district championship.
“This is a special year for the girls as they get to finally play together after years and years of practicing and challenging each other,” their dad, Edward Perry said.
While the younger Perry is ready to hit high school ball for the first time – she has shined through the select circuit including with Texas Glory last season. Both sister now play for Epic Fastpitch out of Oklahoma City.
“I have always looked up to my sister, and she’s always been my biggest role model. We’ve been in the cages and on the practice fields together pushing each other for years. I have followed her recruiting journey all the way to UNT,” said Tempe, who is ranked as the #23 overall player in the country by Extra Innings and the #15 pitcher in the 2028 class. “Now she’s here to encourage me through my journey. This season, getting to take the field alongside my big sister is going to be an opportunity of a lifetime that I cannot be more grateful for!”
