Fresh off helping the North Crowley Panthers to their second state football title and first since 2003, senior running back Cornelius Warren III is headed west to the University of Arizona.
The 3-star back committed with the Wildcats on Wednesday 2/5 during national signing day.
Warren finished off the year with over 1,600 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns.
He added two receiving touchdowns.
Overall, Warren held 16 offers and was previously committed to UNLV before de-committing in mid December. Other offers included Baylor, Miami and Texas Tech.
North Crowley defeated Austin Westlake 50-21 in the Class 6A D1 championship in December. Warren led all players with 241 all-purpose yards. He rushed 23 times for 217 yards with a 75 yard TD run in the third quarter. He added two catches for 24 yards.
The Panthers went 16-0 and produced one of the best offenses all-time. They gained over 8,500 yards and 533 yards per game – the most by any 6A school in DFW. They also scored 864 points and averaged 54 per game – the most points by a DFW team all-time.
Other school records included 4,510 rushing yards and 56 rushing TDs.
Their 50 points against Westlake were the most points scored in a 6A championship game since Allen in 2014.
Warren rushed for 700 yards and 10 TDs in 2023 as a junior.
Ran for over 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns during his sophomore year.
