Six weeks ago, North Crowley dominated the season and Austin Westlake to bring home the program’s first state football championship since 2003.
The Panthers had one of the most explosive offenses in the state.
At the forefront of it was offensive coordinator Eli Reinhart.
After helping NC to the 6A D1 title, Reinhart was named the next head coach at Hutto High School – roughly 2 1/2 hours south of Fort Worth.
“I will always root for North Crowley and the 817,” he said in a tweet. “North Crowley will always hold a special place in my heart.”
While Reinhart was on staff last season, the Panthers set multiple school records. The Panthers amassed over 8,500 yards and 533 yards per game on offense – the most by any 6A school in DFW. They also scored 864 points and averaged 54 per game – the most points by a DFW team all-time. It was also the 16th most points scored in state history.
Other records included 3,769 passing yards and 58 TD passes by QB Chris Jimerson Jr., as well as other offensive numbers (4,510 rushing yards, 4,018 passing yards, 56 rushing TDs and 61 passing TDs).
Reinhart was also named 2024 Assistant Coach Of The Year by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
North Crowley capped off a perfect 16-0 season by beating Westlake 50-21 in the 6A D1 title game in December. It was the most points scored in a 6A championship game since Allen in 2014.
Meanwhile, Hutto went 4-6 last season and missed out on the playoffs.
