The Jaguars defeated Hebron 3-1 on Tuesday night in District 5-6A – giving their head coach Misail Tsapos his 500th career win. The Flower Mound girls are 4-2-1 in district play.

Tsapos has been with Flower Mound since 2015 and has been coaching in the metroplex for over 30 years.

In his first season with the Jags, Tsapos led them to the 6A state title – a 2-1 shootout win over Highland Park. He also won a state title in 2021 after they beat Austin Vandegrift 2-1.

Prior to Flower Mound, Tsapos led Colleyville Heritage for nine seasons and took the Panthers to a state title game appearance in 2011.

Other stops include Mansfield, Mansfield Summit and Justin Northwest.

He was also the men’s and women’s soccer coach at Hardin-Simmons in the 1980s before moving to DFW.
