Argyle senior Jordyn Moore has been among the DFW leaders in triple doubles the past two seasons. She got closer to first place after adding her ninth triple double of the season during the Eagles’ 3-0 sweep over Richland in District 6-5A on Tuesday night.
The Eagles handled the Royals quickly, winning 25-4, 25-12, 25-13.
The #3 ranked Class 5A team in GM Sports Media poll improved its mark to 29-5 overall and 6-1 in district play – remaining in second place in the standings. Argyle looks to keep its win streak when the Eagles visit Grapevine on Friday.
Moore, who is committed to Colgate University, did just enough to get another triple double, which is her second in a row. She finished the Richland game with 12 kills on 0.500 hitting, 12 assists and 12 digs, and added four aces.
She put in 24 kills on 0.622 hitting, 23 digs and 19 assists in her previous game against Birdville last Friday night.
On the season, Moore has 313 kills (team high), 0.372 (team high), 48 aces (team high), 308 digs and 440 assists. Moore made the GM Sports All-Area Team in 2023 after helping the Eagles win the District 7-5A championship and a trip to the regional final.
She had 276 kills, a 0.317 hitting percentage, 36 aces, 71 blocks, 383 digs and 756 assists. She had 12 triple doubles and was District Setter of the Year.
