Argyle 5, Grapevine 1: Alex D’Angelo allowed one hit and struck out 12 as the Eagles beat the Mustangs in District 7-5A. Both teams are 10-1 in district and will play in Argyle on Friday. D’Angelo, who struck out 16 in his last outing, had a no-hitter going through six innings when Grapevine got a single with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Argyle had trailed 1-0 for most of the night until the Eagles put up three in the sixth and two in the seventh. Colton Roquemore and Grady Emerson both had two hits for Argyle.

Arlington Martin 6, Arlington 4 (9): Min Bae, Bryson Bentley and Nash Sanders combined for six hits and four RBIs as the Warriors beat the Colts in District 8-6A. Martin improved to 8-2 and is tied with SGP for second. Both teams are a game back of Arlington 9-1. Bentley homered in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 4-4. Silas Gordon and Sanders drove in Martin runs in the top of the ninth.

Boswell 18, Crowley 0: The Pioneers got off 17 hits as they beat the Eagles to wrap up the District 3-6A championship. Sawyer Farr hit three triples and drove in a run while Mason Bell was a home run shy of the cycle going 4 for 5 with two RBIs. Coby McBride had a team-high four runs batted in. Bell went four innings and allowed one hit and struck out seven.

Joshua 6, Burl Centennial 5: Matt Hernandez drove in three runs as the Owls beat the Spartans in District 8-5A. Joshua is 7-6 in district, a game back of Centennial 8-5 for fifth. Timberview is fourth at 9-5. Trailing 5-3 in the top of the seventh, the Owls scored three times to take the lead. After the lead off batter got out, Joshua picked up five straight singles with RBIs coming from Gavin Massey, Hernandez and Thomas Rodriguez.

Benbrook 6, DHJ 0: Sebastian Martinez threw a two-hit shut out and struck out 16 batters as the Bobcats blanked the Eagles in District 9-4A. Benbrook is 9-0 with one game left on its district schedule. DHJ is 7-1. Martinez didn’t issue a walk and faced 23 batters. Gilulianno Martinez homered in the first inning and the Bobcats tacked on five in the sixth from Jaedan Powell, S. Martinez, Ethan Smith and Kade Cross.

Hebron 2, Plano West 1: The Hawks had three pitchers combined for one unearned run on two hits and nine strikeouts in their win over the Wolves in District 6-6A. Hebron improved to 9-1 and remained in second in the district standings. Mine Jae Seo allowed one hit and struck out seven in 3 2/3 innings. PJ Crayton and Casey McGinnis drove in runs for the Hawks. Ethan Hunt got the save with one hit and two strikeouts in three innings.

Gunter 10, Blue Ridge 1: The Tigers improved to 25-0 on the season after beating the Tigers in District 11-3A. Jarrett Waggoner allowed two hits and struck out 11 in 5 1/3 innings. Waggoner also went 3 for 4 at the plate. Cade Dodson and Crater Layton both drove in two runs.

Timber Creek 3, Keller 2: Austin Myers hit a 1-2 pitch to center in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off RBI single as the Falcons beat the Indians in District 4-6A. Creek improved to 6-3 – tied for first place with SL Carroll while Keller dropped to 6-5 and is in third. Jack Sands came on in relief and allowed two hits, no runs, three walks and three strikeouts in five innings.
