Southlake’s Kennedy Fuller signs with National Soccer Women’s League team Angel City

On Wednesday, former Southlake Carroll soccer star Kennedy Fuller signed with Angel City Football Club as part of the NSWL through 2026 with an option through 2027. Fuller, who turns 17 on March 9, joins the club as the second youngest player to sign a contract in ACFC history.

“I’m so thrilled to join such a unique and diverse team in Angel City,” said Fuller to the club. “Being able to play with some of the best players in the world is such an amazing opportunity, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

Previously, Fuller trained with several NWSL clubs, including North Carolina Courage, Kansas City Current and San Diego Wave FC. At the end of 2023, she also spent three weeks training with Chelsea FC women, under newly appointed USWNT head coach Emma Hayes.

Fuller signed her letter of intent last fall with soccer powerhouse North Carolina.

She graduated 1 1/2 years early from Carroll HS. Fuller came to SLC as a 2025 graduate, but reclassified to 2024 before graduating in December. She only spent two seasons with the Dragons, but put together one of the greatest two year stretches of all time.

Fuller was back-to-back Gatorade Texas Player of the Year and last summer was named Gatorade National Player of the Year. During the 2023 season, she helped the Dragons to a 29-0 start and a trip to the 6A Region 1 final. She finished with a program single season record 55 points and added 26 assists.

As a freshman in 2022 – Fuller posted 26 goals and 15 assists as Carroll won the Class 6A state championship. During its 4-0 win over Rockwall in the title match, Fuller got a hat trick and was voted state champ MVP.

Just recently, she served as captain of the U-17 U.S. Women’s National Team, earning eight goals in five appearances, leading the squad to the 2024 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship title in Mexico, while also qualifying for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup tournament.

She also helped the U.S. U-16 Women’s National Team win the Mondial Montaigu Tournament in France last April.
