Witt Jr., among the greatest HS players in DFW and state history, agreed to an 11-year extension with the team – worth over $288 million according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, who also went on to say that the deal has opt-outs after the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th years of his 11-year contract. It also includes a three-year club option that can take the total value of the deal to 14 years and $377.7 million.
