LD Bell takes down Boswell in Top 15 girls basketball showdown

Boswell was looking to rebound after dropping a game against North Crowley on Friday.

But LD Bell came into Boswell and picked up a 57-52 win in a key game in District 3-6A. Bell improved to 24-1 overall and 6-0 in district play – staying in first place. Boswell dropped to 24-4 and 4-2.

Bell entered the night ranked #11 in the Class 6A state poll by the TABC.

Boswell was ranked #12.

Bell has another tough one when it hosts North Crowley on Friday.

On Tuesday, Bell was led by Madi Capers’ 15 points. Jaida James added 12.

Katie Tietjen chipped in 11 points – all in the fourth quarter.

Gracie Oma had 7 while Hannah Due and Enyce Williams each had 6.

Camille Williams led Boswell with a game-high 16 points while Sydney Durrah added 14 for the Pioneers.

Boswell led 15-13 after the first quarter and 27-24 at halftime. The game was tied at 39 after three.
