GM Sports Media Commit Of The Week (1/21): Aledo’s Raycine Guillory

In our latest installment of GM Sports Media Commitment Of The Week, we turn to Aledo sophomore running back Raycine Guillory, who announced his football commitment to the University of Texas. He announced on Saturday. Guillory holds 18 offers according to 247Sports and chose UT over several Power 5 schools.

Guillory, who stands 5-11, is among the top 2026s in the state.

He played a major factor during the 2023 season for Aledo, which capped it off with a Class 5A D1 state championship.

Guillory ended the season short due to injury, but managed to play 11 games where he rushed for over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns. He finished with 1,236 yards on 146 carries and averaged just over 112 yards rushing per game and 8.5 yards per carry. He finished with SEVEN 100-yard rushing games.

He also added 175 yards on 10 catches and four touchdowns.

Guillory’s best run came in back-to-back playoff games against Lubbock-Cooper and Red Oak. In those two games combined, the sophomore star rushed 27 times for 386 yards and six touchdowns. He went 13 for 198 yards and two scores against Cooper and then followed it up with 188 yards and a career-high four TDs vs Red Oak during the regional semifinal round.

Aledo finished with a 16-0 record after beating Smithson Valley 51-8 in the title game.
