In our latest installment of GM Sports Media College Athlete Of The Week, we turn to TCU senior guard Micah Peavy.

Winners are athletes that played high school in DFW.

Peavy recorded the third triple-double in TCU men’s basketball history with 13 points and career-highs of 12 rebounds and 10 assists. The Horned Frogs erased a 14-point lead before beating Arizona State 79-59 on Saturday.

Peavy was named Big 12 Player Of The Week.

The Frogs are 8-1 this season.

Through nine games, Peavy is averaging career highs with 12.2 points, 5 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. During the previous two years with TCU, he’s played in 64 games with 17 starts.

At Duncanville, Peavy helped the Panthers to the UIL state tournament in back to back seasons – winning the 6A title as a junior in 2019. The 2020 tournament was canceled due to COVID. He was state champ MVP in 2019 and averaged 16 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
