GM Sports Media College Athlete Of The Week (11/15): Keller Central’s Caitlin Kobiske

In our latest installment of GM Sports Media College Athlete Of The Week, we turn to Southeastern Oklahoma State junior and Central grad Caitlin Kobiske.

Winners are athletes that played high school in DFW.

In three games, Kobiske and SEOSU went 2-1 with wins over Winona State and SAGU. In the season opener vs Concordia St Paul she posted 17 points and 9 rebounds while going 9 of 10 from the FT line.

Against WSU, Kobiske had her first double double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds while again, going 9 of 10 from the stripe. SEOSU won 75-74 in double overtime. Kobiske tied the game with a free throw in the first overtime and then hit the go-ahead jumper with six seconds left in the second overtime for the win.

She also had four assists and three steals vs WSU.

She had 10 points and 8 rebounds in the win vs SAGU. Kobiske has made 24 of 28 free throws this season.

Last season she started and played in all 27 games and averaged 17.3 points per game. She scored a season high 43 points and was named national player of the week after shooting 23 of 25 from the line against Monticello.

While at Central, Kobiske was a first team all-district forward and team captain. She scored more than 1,000 points in her career and was a McDonald’s All American nominee as a senior. She was also three time academic all-district selection.
