GM Sports Media Commit Of The Week (10/30): Glen Rose’s Aimee Flippen

In our latest installment of GM Sports Media Commitment Of The Week, we turn to Glen Rose super senior Aimee Flippen, who stars on the Tigers volleyball and basketball teams

She committed to Abilene Christian University basketball on October 26.

“Thank you God for giving me this amazing opportunity to play at the next level. A big shoutout to all the coaches and college that have recruited me this last couple years. I have enjoyed every step of this journey and still can’t believe I am getting this opportunity,” she said in her tweet.

Currently, Flippen is a middle blocker on the volleyball team and her and the Tigers are about to start the postseason. They finished second in district and reached the third round last season.

Basketball season is officially almost here with games later this week.

Flippen and the Tigers made history last season during her junior year with a trip to the state tournament. Glen Rose was ranked #1 in 4A for most of the season and its trip to state was a first since 1971.

Glen Rose went 39-2 and Flippen was district MVP as well as TABC all state.

She averaged 15 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Her teammate Grace Booth also committed last week to play basketball at East Central University.
