Reagan Hall, who pitched the Falcons to the SPC 3A state championship in the spring, announced her commitment to Stephen F. Austin on Monday.
“I am extremely blessed to announce that I have decided to further my academic and athletic career playing at SFA,” Hall said in a tweet. “Thank you God for watching over me and helping me find my new home. Without him nothing is possible. I’m proud to say AXE EM JACKS.”
Hall, a senior for Country Day, posted an 11-2 record last season. She had 173 strikeouts and a stellar 0.89 ERA in 86 2/3 innings pitched. From the plate, Hall batted 0.529 with six doubles and 25 runs batted in.
Country Day beat John Cooper School 6-0 in the SPC 3A title game in April. Hall threw a three-hit shutout and struck out 14 batters.
Hall and the Falcons are in the volleyball playoffs. Country Day will play on Thursday.
She will go into her senior season of softball with a 39-18-2 career record in three years. She has registered 404 strikeouts in over 224 innings.
