Keller 2025 catcher Kaiya Fabela is our latest commitment of the week after she announced hers to BYU softball on Saturday 9/30.
Fabela quickly came on the scene in 2022 season as a freshman.
She finished the year with a 0.447 average, 9 home runs and 41 runs batted in – all team highs. She also posted a 0.534 OBP, 0.894 slugging and 9 doubles. Fabela is a two-time all state selection, was 4-6A Co Catcher of the Year and Star Telegram Newcomer Hitter of the Year.
Fabela plays select with Impact Gold.
During the 2021 travel season, she hit 22 doubles, 18 homers and had 83 RBIs.
As a sophomore this past spring, Fabela hit 0.349 for Keller with 38 hits, 8 homers, 12 doubles and drove in 35 runs. She posted just three errors and a 0.988 fielding percentage.
Fabela is a nationally ranked catcher.
Keller has posted a 55-23 overall record and 25-1 in district the past two seasons with Fabela. They won 35 games last season, went 14-0 in 4-6A and reached the regional final before losing to Denton Guyer.
