Southlake Carroll star wide receiver commits to Oklahoma

Carroll 2024 receiver Jacob Jordan announced his football commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, simply saying “I’m Home” in a Twitter post.

Jordan is the 16th player among the 2024 class to commit to OU.

He’s the fourth from DFW, joining Dozie Ezukanma (Timber Creek), Michael Hawkins (Frisco Emerson) and Jaydan Hardy (Lewisville). Longview’s Taylor Tatum, who’s the No. 1 ranked running back in the nation, also recently committed to OU.

Jordan made 67 catches for 1,225 yards and 16 touchdowns last season as a junior while the Dragons reached the regional final. He had 45 catches and four touchdowns in 11 games during the 2021 season.

Last season he averaged a little more than 18 yards per catch and 87.5 yards per game.

He had four games with 100 yards receiving and went over 200 yards in two playoff games. Overall in four playoff games against Crowley, Wolfforth Frenship, McKinney and Denton Guyer, Jordan had 28 catches for 612 yards and four touchdowns. He had 11 catches, 222 yards and two touchdowns against Crowley. He added seven catches for 214 yards and one touchdown two weeks later against McKinney.
