Rodney DeLong and the North Texas Mean Green landed another local softball star after McKinney 2024 Caydance Gaddis announced her commitment to the program on Thursday.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to part of such a great program. Thank you to everyone who was there to support me and help me get to this point,” she said in a Twitter post.
McKinney competed a tough District 5-6A and was two games out of a playoff spot.
Gaddis was voted first team all district and second team all area by the Star Local Media after seeing success from the plate and the circle.
In 30 games, she batted 0.370 with 34 hits, 10 doubles, 7 home runs, 22 RBI and 14 runs scored.
From the circle, Gaddis was the ace of the team with a 1.63 ERA and 229 strikeouts.
She will enter the 2024 season as one of the top players to watch in DFW.
